Nadiah Abdul Nasir

A reflective and dedicated educator with over 15 years of experience in Visual Arts and Aesthetics Education, committed to nurturing students' creativity, critical thinking and artistic confidence through meaningful and authentic learning experiences.

Her leadership journey began at Regent Secondary School, where she served as Subject Head (Art), fostering a culture of creativity and inquiry. These experiences laid a strong foundation for her subsequent role as Subject Head (Aesthetics) at Bukit Batok Secondary School, where she provided strategic leadership in advancing Aesthetics Education, driving curriculum innovation and creating meaningful opportunities for students to engage with the arts across the school.

Beyond her school, she actively contributes to the professional learning of educators. Her commitment to educational leadership was strengthened through her participation in the Management and Leadership in Schools (MLS) Programme in 2023, which deepened her understanding of strategic leadership, organisational development and leading sustainable school improvement. Building on these experiences, she serves as Co-Lead of the W7 Aesthetics Networked Learning Community (NLC) for Aesthetics, working alongside Art and Music educators across the primary and secondary levels to reimagine assessment practices that strengthen student agency and enhance the teaching and learning of Arts Education throughout the W7 cluster. Through this professional learning community, she works alongside fellow educators to foster collaborative inquiry, share positive and inclusive classroom practices and support the continuous improvement of Arts Education.

Grounded in collaboration, continuous learning and service, she is committed to empowering both students and educators while building inclusive learning communities where creativity, innovation and meaningful partnerships enable every individual to flourish.
