Teo Li Chin

Li Chin is a versatile performer and dedicated educator who believes music should be an integral part of everyone's lives. Prior to joining the Ministry of Education (MOE), she was a highly sought-after pianist, active in a diverse range of roles - serving as piano faculty at the School of the Arts Singapore (SOTA), staff accompanist at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, and deputy keyboard player for touring musical companies performing at Marina Bay Sands.
As an educator, Li Chin is committed to integrating her practical musical expertise into classroom instruction, ensuring her students receive a high-quality, enriching learning experience. Collaborating with her mentors, she has developed new modules to broaden students' exposure to diverse musical genres. Li Chin has also created innovative teaching methods to help students learn and practice classroom instruments. Recognizing the importance of flexibility and adaptability in today's evolving education landscape, she continuously explores new ways to engage her students. Deeply passionate about music, Li Chin is dedicated to cultivating the next generation's love and appreciation for the art form.
Li Chin holds a Master of Music (performance) degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and was the recipient of the Wong Hee Hua Memorial Prize, awarded to the best performance in Music for the PGDE course.
