Seah Cheng Tat

Cheng Tat obtained his Masters Degree in Music and Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and Bachelors Degree of Music in Music (Hons.) from King's College London. Prior to joining STAR, he has taught the Music Elective Programme (MEP) for Integrated Programme (Years 1 to 4), MEP at A-Levels (Years 5 to 6) as well as the Aesthetics Programme of both Music and Dance (Year 2) at Temasek Junior College.
He believes that the arts play an essential role in nurturing creativity and critical thinking in students. He also believes that the arts also provide an additional platform for students to cultivate and nurture 21st Century Competencies that will enable them to thrive and navigate the ever-changing world.
He has many hobbies that include drawing, sewing, designing, gardening, exercising and music-making on a variety of music instruments. He also performs regularly in a few symphonic bands.
